As part of their economics unit, our King’s Schools 4th graders stepped into the business world by creating unique products to sell. They analyzed production costs, set prices, and worked hard to turn a profit! But the best part? They donated all their proceeds to a nonprofit, showcasing the true spirit of giving this Christmas season.  

King’s Schools in , Washington, is working hard to build the next generation of leaders. At King’s, we want our students to learn the value of education and everything it includes, but we also want students to learn the art of giving back to their community and being generous. The 4th Grade Marketplace is more than just an educational activity—it’s a transformative experience. Students gain real-world skills in teamwork, problem-solving, and financial literacy by engaging in running a small business, from brainstorming product ideas to marketing and sales. These lessons extend beyond the classroom, preparing students for future success.  

Our students genuinely let their creativity shine. Their products reflected their unique interests and talents, from handmade crafts to innovative gadgets. The event fostered a sense of pride in their work and emphasized the importance of giving back. By donating their earnings to a nonprofit organization, students saw how their hard work could make a tangible difference in the lives of others.  

At King’s Schools, we strive to cultivate servant leaders. The 4th Grade Marketplace is a beautiful example of how we integrate faith and learning. Students learn that success isn’t just about financial gain but about using their gifts to serve others, reflecting Christ’s teachings of generosity and love.  

Parents, teachers, and community members were invited to participate in this special event, creating a vibrant marketplace atmosphere. The enthusiasm and support from our school family were invaluable, encouraging our young entrepreneurs and reinforcing the values we hold dear at King’s.  

We had an absolute blast doing our Christmas shopping at the 2024 4th Grade Marketplace! The creativity, effort, and heart these students poured into their projects were truly inspiring.
